TBH I don't see how Plako can realistically defend most of his land. The majority of his cities are coastal, his vertically-aligned empire will make reinforcing cities very difficult even with his rails, his island cities are terribly exposed and he's not likely to ever lead Mack in military tech. His main advantage is coming from having tons of cities, so eating the rest of his continent is probably the best path to victory- become so huge that losing a few cities here or there doesn't really matter much. If mack gets in a hot with Finharry or Commodore, that's a good time to devour WLP / 2metra.

Scooter's last post is now promising. I hope he proves me wrong!

This is one of those things where the message will be loud though - if plako fights mackoti now rather than taking peace, Commodore/Finharry/maybe even scooter pile on. That leaves the possibility of knocking mackoti down a peg or two and surely plako is the new global hegemon in that world.
By taking peace, mackoti probably slams into Finharry or Commodore and then plako loses a potential ally. I get that its complicated but allies are valuable.
Anyway, I think one way or another Commodore has signed his death warrant over the last 10 turns. With what his empire looks like in terms of land quality and size its amazing he's lasted this long, honestly. Pindicator should have killed him ages ago, but he just didn't see it.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Well, we're going to see a very live test of both prickly Commodore and the powers of Kremlin cash-rushing. Should be worth some popcorn.

A Kremlin-fueled rush-buy war machine would kill Commodore's teching though, if he has to invest all of his economic output into purchasing units. Mack can probably meet his production and still (slowly) unlock better units. Mack needs to hurry the heck up though if he wants to have a chance to do serious damage, like razing Commodore's capital.

Its a good thing for Commodore that Plako's East Coast is about exactly the farthest away that Mack's boats could be from Ottowa.
I did like Mackoti's analysis of Commodores actions... but i think mackoti sees easiier gains thru Babylon.

Out of curiosity, there any wargamers on here? If Commodore's got five turns, I'd be writing up the strategic plan for the upcoming campaign already, along with forming up a provisional Order of Battle. Does anyone go into that kind of depth, usually?
