Pretty sure you can just swap the exe files as that was what I did and I managed to get on PBEM 59(Krill's Mod) and PB 17 so I believe just replacing the exe works.

The pbem that is causing me problems does not have locked modified assets switch on.
And when I say 'me' ... I mean one of the steam based players in the game.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.
