We can have Mids eot T99, with 6 chops. 5 chops from city and the eastern spice forest. So long as we have Masonry (138b) eot T83, stone hooked T92 and Maths eot T98. We would simply build the Mids from size 1 in FR after the Granary (42 hammers by eot T91, size 5, 15 food in box, sheep, deer, copper, plains hill mine, grass hill mine).
What this basically means right now is that to keep options open, should start researching Sailing now.
Reasons to do this? Fail gold alone make it worth while IMO. Breakeven with researching Masonry is reached T95. If Mids falls before chops arrive...we could always whip a lighthouse (on which note, putting 1 turn into the light house on T84 seems legit tactic) and then get GLH on T99 with the same MM (must build Lighthouse and GLH for 3-4 turns from swap though).

Pre Maths we'd get 150 hammers from the forests. We'd need to build Mids until T102 to get it.

Pity that TtL and OT are hogging all the other third ring forests.
Yeah, let's start teching sailing. Masonry is nice to have too for stone walls along our borders.
I have to run.

Yeah. It's kinda of sucky, but...can deal with it. If all the stone is on islands I kind of like the chances of getting Mids. And even if we don't then the fail gold is useful.
I'm not sure about getting Maths though. 430 adjusted beakers is...a lot. Still, it's only a 3 turn delay.

Logged in to look/play but logged out again to let Oxy in.
Whosit had a large score increase and power increase last turn. Nothing to worry about though. I guess he got a classical tech, HBR or Mathematics, and he also finished a spear in Overland Park. HBR is 10k power, Mathematics is 6. Coupled with the spear I hopestimate that Mathematics was his acquired tech.
Other than that an uneventful interturn.
If you play, Krill, remember that RC needs to start a warrior, and check our EP assignments. I've been putting an extra EP into Cheater Hater and Whosit whenever we're down to the exact amount needed for their graphs. Oh, and remember to turn on science.
EDIT: Quick turn by Oxy so I'm going back in.
I have to run.

Hmmm. Aren't those graphs delayed so the spear wouldn't show up on that spike?

Yeah you could be right about the graphs, Krill. I do not know the mechanics on when the graphs update. I guess if we see a 4k increase next turn we know what's what.
I have to run.

As to the cottages...I think the first cottage is down T76 at OT...then the next one is T82 at OT? Then we put down like a dozen in 5 turns or so.
Just wait and see. do you want to dump the overflow into the bowman at FP and then regrow on a warrior/spear there?

Our answer to a severe lack of commerce is intercontinental trade routes and getting light houses. So long as that gets us to Currency we can then get to Calendar.
As I said before, if we have happiness we can settle for, then the immediate commerce problems just disappear. Long term we're fine so long as we can work the cottages, but right now we actually are researching slower than a lot of players. Mids would solve that problem though...
