Gave Haram a choice this turn: Protect your copper from being razed by killing my chariot across the river, protect your city of Beshbalik from being razed, or whip one of your cities down to size 1. Choose 2. I still have more chariots coming; I'm losing 4 gold a turn supporting all these freaking units, and so I don't mind losing a few to achieve some other objectives.
In other news, I finished my turn right before turn turn roll, and so I logged in to check and..........
![pimp pimp](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/pimp.gif) (obviously unable to actually move my units)

Haram chose to protect his copper (killed the chariot, but at least he didnt ace it this time) and whip Beshabalik down to size 1. A 3rd spear? Seems likely...

OR NOT!!! What the hell did he whip?? I know he already has a monument in that city, because his culture started pulling away from mine a few turns ago, so what else could he get besides more military?? Hmm...
So, last turn I moved this currently attacking chariot 1SW, onto the tile my warrior is currently standing on, because Haram whipped that city last turn. (the idea is that he wouldn't want to attack that tile with a spear because my warrior would be getting +90% defense bonus, big enough that he could possibly lose the spear). I also moved TWO chariots onto that middle tile to fork his two cities. Because he used one spear to protect his copper, he needed his other one to sit on his city for 2 turns until the damaged one made it back. Until then, Karakorum would be in danger from that easternmost chariot and thus he couldn't move his spear out to attack my chariots on the fork tile via moving on the road 1NW of the city.
SO, that brings me to this turn:
!!!!!! The warrior covers the damaged chariot, fork chariot #1 moves onto the furs, fork chariot #2 moves onto the rice, and the eastern guard chariot moves 1E to continue threatening the capital without being in direct danger from the spear. Beshbalik (two freaking furs, wet rice, and a horse that he ignored on his river extension vs my river extension which has two floodplains and a hilled sheep ![shakehead shakehead](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/shakehead.gif) ) guarded by a lone warrior, is now threatened by 4 units without being able to be reinforced! That city is totally toast next turn, unless he did some kind of insane feint where he built a spear, moved it 1SW, and then moves it back next turn or something.
Moving back domestically, my capital is size 6 now and pumping out the settler I intend to use to take the valley. First city to size 6, go figure... all the other Cha leaders must be oh so FOOLISHLY building settlers and workers to develop their empire! ![bang bang](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/bang.gif) ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) At size 7 I'll be able to produce 3T settlers here, although after this one I intend to let myself grow to size 8 first via a granary (accelerated with a chop, so it will be done lickity split). Need to start working some cottages. I really appreciate how good Charismatic is at early war in ToW and Imp makes it even better, although Boudica (Cha/Agr) or especially Churchill (Cha/Pro, man did I underestimate this guy in my analysis earlier, Parkin has himself a real treat here) would be even more preferable for this kinda early war business despite not having that great economic benefit later.
And here is my red head stepchild, finishing a garrison for my capital and then moving on towards a granary. I'd oh so love if this city was 1S but my attack just wouldn't have been successful then - 1T later pasture, 2 less forests. He'll be working cottages up north for awhile, once I get the chance to get them built.

Oh geez what a disappointing login... what he whipped 2 turns ago must have been a worker or settler, which is the only thing that would give enough overflow to finish a 1-turn spear on the inter-turn. ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) He used it to attack my warrior, and this his warrior my half-dead chariot. The spear was fairly damanged and thus I still had a 22% chance to take the city, but decided against it and offered him a peace treaty, an offering meant to acknowledge my defeat and show respect to well-played defense. I really thought I had him. So close, so close. ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) I did raze his furs at least, so he'll feel the sting of all those whips a bit more. At least, until he gets his FUCKING IVORY, again just outside of his capital, online with his 4th or 5th city or whatever. 2 starting-tech happiness resources right outside his door, with Agricultural. Fucking great. I hope I have something comparable to the northwest of my capital; I guess I'll find out very soon, in the next few turns or so.
Sigh, anyways, its likely he'll feel that he has me on the run and won't accept the treaty, but I'll have axes out in 5 turns and nothing else to build until my capital hits size 8. So, his call if he wants to keep this going for awhile. I'm not gonna offer again.

Haram logged in twice, I wonder if he accepted the treaty offer or not. I hope I get home from work in time to check, it would be useful to know whether I should change my builds around or not.

Dull turn. Haram seems to be bent on gifting me a shock axeman, although unfortunately this will come at the cost of having to pillage one of my own roads and delaying my 3rd city by a couple more turns.

Haram read this page of my thread it turns out, and presumably realized I had a pair of axeman coming T54, based on my last comment, and am going to settle the little valley as soon as they're up. So, he decided to move his spearman to pillage the forest mine instead of coming straight at my city. =/ He could have like... at least briefly retreated them or something to compensate for this free, critical information. Or at least not have moved them for a turn. Its not like he offered to let me read his thread. I'm also sure he's gonna try to choke that spot or something now so that I can't hook up the pig immediately. I cannot catch a fucking break here.
Readjusted my builds to compensate. Also lmfao at a barb Warrior spawning up there; I thought that it was impossible for a barb unit to spawn within 2 tiles of a border but I guess not.

The more I think about this the more it genuinely pisses me off, by which I mean, I'm actually mad here and not "RAWWWR IM SO MAD AT VIDEO GAME but actually having fun" like I have been for the rest of this game (or my last 2000 dota matches). If Haram reacts like this, taking tactical advantage of the fact he "accidentally" cheated instead of offering to make amends, it makes me wonder if this is really the first time its happened. Was the fact that he sent a warrior to scout me just a few turns after I posted a big analysis on why taking the middle valley was so important to me also a coincidence?
I too accidentally clicked on another player's thread, slowcheetah's - on Apirl 24th, after picks were made but before the game started. After that, after apologizing profusely, and, on Krill's recommendation, I installed and set up the RB Chrome app, which prevents you from clicking on other players' spoiler threads. I take the effort to reinstall this every single time I restart my computer due to the fact that Chrome wont load apps that aren't on the web store. My friends have been telling me all game that "lmfao they're talking so much shit about you in the lurker thread" but I haven't once clicked to see what they're saying. (and no, my pals are not giving me spoilers at all, they think it's even more entertaining if I lose than if I win) In PB18, I had research visibility on NAME REDACTED for like 10 fucking turns but couldn't actually see his research because his spot on the scoreboard was too high to actually display on my fucking screen, and yet I didn't click on his spoiler thread to check. And yet, here Haram "accidentally" clicks the thread of the guy he's at war with. He probably only told me about it because he sees that I'm online at the same time too... Man, fuck this guy.
