Won't we need to work the hill for one turn though if we want the bowman to finsh? (June 16th, 2014, 16:58)Krill Wrote: Exactly. I will makle the change shortly I don't get it.
I have to run.
Yeah, that's the main question. But when you look at our tech rate now, we have to spend 3 turns researching Masonry and a further 2 turns on Sailing. We'll have, what, 110 gold left on T77? That means we need to generate something like 207 beakers for Writing and 430 for Maths. Even taking away the tech modifier, that's like 150 base beakers for Writing, 355 for Maths.
I don't know where we get those from. Even with IC routes, those new cities don't increase break even bpt and we're only at 20-odd now, and it's going to drop precipitously just as we need to be saving gold for a push to Maths... I don't think we will improve on eot T102 through tech TBH. (June 17th, 2014, 17:20)Krill Wrote: *looks at Demos*Krill game standard for this turn number, isn't it? "If you're not striking, make more settlers!" Heck, with Fin and some coast-working I'll bet you can settle another ten cities!
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
Well without Currency yes, we can get to 15 cities. We just won't discover another tech until T150. And that includes Writing.
Note we settle city 7 on T76 and city 10 on T85. We have enough time to grow cities to ensure we don't go bankrupt...just we are happy constrained. If Judaism spreads to any more cities I think we have to consider a revolt. And Mids is being built simply for more happiness.
Turn 75
Overview. I moved the warrior near Ruff north so that his border pop does not uncover it. The bowman from FP I moved to between TtL and FP whilst we have that bowmen moving towards the goody hut. There are 4 bowmen that cover FP now. I have not moved the warrior from DS, but it will shortly need to move south to OT or to WH. City screens: 5 warriors being built that can be slaved as spears from T77. The warrior in DS needs to be left in the queue next turn; every other warrior will be still be in the city queues and being built anyway. F9: Sailing eot T75, Masonry eot T79, last turn should be mostly saving gold. novice, if you feel confident about landing Mids, then I don't see any reason to slow down expansion much (I'd still stack the whips in DS into a granary and light house though, so the anger can start to die down). How do you feel about this? |
