What's wrong with it?
Pindicator captured a size 3 city from Barry Lyndon.

Settlers might be cheap but cities are expensive. If we can get a galley over there after ferrying units to the northern island we can get the whales hooked just as quickly but also claim contested land. We are limited by when we can get a settler fown there anyway.
I played turn 77 and then did some micro in my head, documented with signs. I haven't tried it in the sandbox yet. Here's the sandbox.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1521...dSwordSave Also I think we're getting known tech bonus on our Masonry research so the sandbox probably needs adjusting in that respect. We also need to add Judaism to Role Call at some point.
I have to run.
I expect the sandbox will be pretty useless past T90...so as we are saving gold for most of that I don't think it really matters.
The micro seems to be what I've run in the past, and it looks good to me. With two exceptions. I think should cottage the roaded none-river grassland tile at OT and not the river, and there is no point roading the tile 66 of OT, might as well cottage that one.
Capital is going to be a hybrid city with minimum cottages right? The tiles that overlap with Ec need cottages, that much is fine. Afterthat, I think we need to keep as many tiles that can be watermilled free of cottages.
Okay so I think it should be fairly straightforward to get maths eot96. So we can chop the forests on t97 and finish off the pyramids with a whip t98.
One intriguing possibility: Those two forests on the island could be chopped into mids as well, for 16 and 13 base hammers post-math. The galley should be around just in time to ferry over workers. I think we probably don't want to do this but it would be kind of cool.
I have to run.
I still don't know how we are 4th in Crop yield. Down 30 on the leader (dtay?) but with that GNP spike being Writing I don't think he can expand much more without hitting the same brick wall we are about to hit.
Turn 78, start of turn report.
Really, dtay, are you building a city there? With DS at 80/100 culture currently? Plako finished The Great Lighthouse, not in Rheims. Then I popped the hut. Results weren't optimal. I guess we move the warrior on top of the bowman, and move the bowman between FP and TtL to FR to guard that. And possibly shuffle down one of the bowmen that's standing between FP and RC. Thinking about it, I can only see two reasons for dtay to have a settler on the sugar. 1) He plans a city there because he wants Calendar soon but not iron working. 2) He wants to instaroad the tile and attack DS. Both of those seem kind of odd, really. I think 2) is more likely than 1) though.
I have to run.
