novice I haven't considered the DS settler location, but if we can hold down the Ruff front I am leaning towards the Whales position. Tartar Suace needs workers that aren't in position, GE is settled from WH, lack workers for south island (specifically roads). So Whales seems decent. If we grew DS before completing hte settler, the settler could be on the FR sheep T99, with 5 worker turns spent on roads. It is also trivial to get the roads in place on every tile up to and including the plains hill 87 of the city location. Whales city can be planted T102, Whales hooked T107 (with prioritisation), provided we aim for T99 Mids with the relevant worker micro from next turn.

How do you want to develop Cuddlefish? It could be an alternative for Moai.
Answer is "The Patriots", mousing over score list = dtay. Oracle to MC...
Cuddlefish I'm hesitant to invest in, it's too close to Plako for me to feel safe with it. It has an immense food surplus though, along with the forests I see it using rep happiness to work 2 scientists, and stone...still making 5fpt so capable of also doing 2 pop whips. To me it just a city that I'd develop by giving it Granary, 2 whipped light house at size 6 (can't whip at 5 I think without whipping off sheep of stone, can whip 1 turn later at 6), and then whipping the library (micro involving chops affecting boundaries etc).

Ruff has 7 cities, keeping track of this now.
I think that is coast on the tile south of the desert, but not sure. Worth noting due to positioning of the southern city to deny Ruff any potential coastal cities.
warrior 36-something, or 32-9something?
I fucked up, the bowman and chariot should be on opposite tiles, but I do want the bowman to get fort bonus, so perhaps not that bad? I should really have just stacked them to protect the chariot in case we have to fight Ruff.
MM for Whale city T102. This MM gives eot T99 Mids and 2 workers to chop at whales (5 and 8). Ec Bowman moves to FR, FR bowman defends workers and Whales.
spear to Ds T94, DS bowman to WH, OT bowman to DS and then spear back to zone defence T97.
Need wheat to get Bowman next turn, otherwise would give to Ec. Delays Ec growth to size 6 until T99 even if given wheat from T94.
Worker next? Also, revolt to Rep affects city micro an awful lot, so no real thought developed for DS yet. Input welcome.
Regrow to size 5 eot T95, unless overflow dumped into worker. I think that is a good move, actually, regrow eot T96...worker due eot T99.
I thought might be able to work plains forest not sheep, doesn't get Mids any sooner. Going for T99 Mids. Fail gold eot T98 gets us enough tech and happy due to earlier Calendar that I would not be concerned.
35gpt at max gold. Grow 4 pop and 1 pop out of whip unhappy next turn. Still great land score.

Yeah, W8 can do it. I took the screenshots whilst working out the micro, I had to back out quickly because I was blocking someone. Must have missed that sign.
There are plenty of workers in position to get everything done. Right now I'm considering a galley slave after Mids to overflow out enough hammers to get a work boat quickly for Whales, and transport 2 extra workers to the south island. Want to get that corn hooked quickly, and with 2 workers at Whales we can get a Granary and Lighthouse down really quickly and then use that food to whip out stuff for south island. The galley wouldn't be wasted as we could use that to transfer items over. Don't want to whip the buildings because the forest chops would simply get them up quicker.

Ruff played. Logged in, barb didn't attack but blocked the chariot move so I attacked the chariot at 99.1% odds. Won, but chariot to 2.3 health but has 2XP...no sign of any units from Ruff. Chariot is now 1S of the ivory. Can promote and heal T95 to 82HP (3.56 strength) then scout south and defend settler T96, also considering moving bowman down to defend settler for city 12, can use warrior to defend settler for City 11 and can take spear as well if needed.

There is a plains deer tile 33 of KM that city 11 has, in addition to a flood plains. Farm that and it can get to +6fpt, which is all KM can reach with a light house. It's basically a buffer city to invalidate every potential location Ruff can plant, and it can only be boated by sailing through a 1 tile wide strait. It's pretty much right in the "Good Enough" category for island front cities. Push culture and we can get the crab though.

Ah, good. Forgot about the deer, it's hard to see without resource bubbles.
Let's go with food-themed names on south island, then.
City 11: Just Desserts
City 12: Pass Mustard
Corn city: Mind Grain
I have to run.
