We could still think what's better calendar or currency, but that waits.

Another intresting dilemma is whether it's necessary to adopt religion now or wait GA.

I think it's better to wait settler (this turn whip grannary at cap w/ overflow, and next turn there would be a mine chopped). That would be enough to produce a settler in a turn or two. After that anarchy would be fine.

Still, both gems and ivory are in 2nd circles of future cities, so monolith would be necessary at new cities.

Well, it seems we're below average, but there were 2 whips (3 pop total) this turn.
Atm there're 7 cities, but 8th would be found soon on a pleasant island. Moreover, we would obtain currency quite soon, that would give us cheap markets + significant money from trade roots. Sea-path to Gavagai would be defogged quite soon.
