It's a 5v1 so Spullla ought to lose. I'm not sure the praets will tip the scales, though. Sure, they'll raze Shiloh but I think they may come too late to influence the outcome of the war. By the time the praets reach Antietam or Fredericksburg I think most will have been decided already.
Looking at Rome's economy I think Whosit is the one that the praets' involvement will hurt the most.
The big question is where the northern stack goes and how fast. Chancellorsville could be in real trouble, and if it falls, Antietam is next.

I think that it will depend on the coordination of the CoW. If they coordinate well, Spulla won't be able to do much. Speaker has a ton of MP experience which will help (when does he get back from his hiatus?). I do not think they will be able to wipe out Spulla, but I'd be surprised if they defend without any cities lost.
Of course, the other consideration is that once the initial stacks are dealt with, it will be much harder for reins to come all the way from the more distant CoW members so it may leave Jowy vulnerable.

My bet is on Spulla. I think the only city they will ever loose is Shilohâ¦

I think it all hinges on CVille. If that city falls (and holds an immediate counter attack) the horses can get easily cut, then Spullla have to defend with axes and spears, and are forced to keep units between Antietam and Gburg, leaving Fburg out in the cold where it eventually gets captured by Whosit after Shiloh.
If Cville doesn't fall (and that depends purely on the co-operation between AK and Jowy) then Spullla will slave down their cities, head straight for construction, whip 3 cats, adn then wipe out each stack as needed. Actually I think they'll do that anyway, but with a massively reduced city count from losing Cville (and then white dot) they'll be too slow. They'll also be forced to keep units they slave in Antietam and Gburg if they want them to be happy and keep on teching, which obviously hinders their military advantage.

This would be much more beneficial to them than IW. Construction and then Feudalism, though the war would be decided before Feudalism is reached in all likelihood.

Fued isn't necessary, but vassalage might be nice if they decide to take out Jowy or Dantski immediately if either flank crumbles. A stack of 10 HA isn't easy to do anything against, especially if they just pillage your land clean.

Which I think they'll realize. HBR next turn (T98) and they'll have to spend T99 in min-sci, so when the declarations come T100, they'll know to switch to Construction, which should come in around T105 or so.
I've been pretty impressed with Jowy's attention to detail, so I am going to put my money on the CoW landing the first strike at least

The best thing about the Horse Archers in this conflict is their mobility lets them cover everything. From 2N of Antietam, they can hit a stack 1NW of C-ville immediately, and anywhere else (including the far east) in 2t. Since Jowy went Phalanx-happy, he's going to be very vulnerable to HAs with his, what, 2 spears? It'll take 3 turns to march from Thebes to C-ville. That's too much time for Spullla to churn out an extra 7 HAs or so.
My call:
Shiloh burns to the Praets (There's no way that won't happen unless Whosit backs out), but no other cities fall.
Post-COWar the tech pace is going to crawl, with Spullla facing massive whips and whip anger (they need to double-whip some HAs or else never get out from their looming happiness crunch), and everyone else struggling financially.

If I was Whosit, I would burn that inland coastal city and then beeline into a Greek city to gift my units away arguing that too many Generals spoil the war. It gets those units off his balance sheet and lets him concentrate on consolidation at home.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I agree. I think someone else had even mentioned at one point that his sole contribution should have been gifting praets. That would have been a much better plan for Whosit, imho.
