Is that a real update ? I think it is ! Is it organized in any way that makes sense ? No !
There seem to be a 1 tile passage to Dreylin's land in the west.
Prechops are going well in the south. Stone city will finish Moai in 4 and will pop in 5 (with a WB ready to hook the new clam right away). The settler in Lobambus will go to spot 9 which will need to be chopped right away into a barrack to get the fish soon.
This screenshot is not accurate because Mthathum grew last turn working a cottage instead of the copper. Qunum's settler will go to spot 5, the axemen are needed for defense and potential offense, but I'm getting ahead of myself there.
The settler from Maserus will go south to the x tile, it has a silk south of it and a hamlet 2W. It's not great but I can't expand too far without more military.
I'd have used the settler to seal off the east but it's not possible. That's where most of the CH/Agent war happened from the city ruins, and CH's culture is right there too. I really want to raze this city and found the border one, although I don't know how feasible it is right now. When I get IW (after calendar) I'll have to chose my enemy carefully.
Not sure who's land this all is. WB is heading back to stone city to get the clams.
CH and Agent also border each other here, I'd like to get site 8 ready ASAP to protect that border.

Actually I'm uncertain as to what the best choice is, I could go for IW and destroy someone's border city (or even someone's entire land) with preats by working hard towards them (whipping all my cities is a possibility) but I prefer the building game and my economy is in shambles. Breakeven is under 40% IIRC and it won't get any better with 3 cities founded in the near future (next 3-5 turns). The costs on this map are huge, and I'm aggressive so it's not even that bad. That's part of why I'm not too concerned with my last place in score and low demo, while it's not a good sign I don't think I'm too far behind in tech and having beelined calendar so much, having marble and having lots of forests to burn means I have a good shot at the MoM. Also my maintenance being lower than my opponents I think they must have a pretty bad economy unless I'm doing particularly poorly in managing my empire which is always a possibility. So the question is IW versus currency. The problem of currency is that I can't expand well without my border cities that fit so well into the dotmap (yeah there's a part of me that can't stand shifting the dotmap), so I wouldn't be able to use that newly recovered economy to expand more. So here's my dilemma, IW would give me expansion without the eco to support it while currency would give me the eco without the expansion prospect to go with it. Really not sure as to what would harm me less.
And actually there's a wild card in all this. The land NW of the gold city in the north is strangely full of barbs and has a suspicious shape. I don't think it's a real island because IIRC they don't spawn on toroid inland seas (isn't that the script used for this map ? It looks like it) but it could just be an arm of the great continent that's not convenient to settle for anyone. And maybe I could get some of the land there, with its gems and clams and stuff. Therefore I could avoid IW right now, consolidate the eco with currency and maybe even CoL for TRs wealth builds cheap forums and full price courthouses and avoid war at all cost, settle that land and then tech IW to attack someone if I feel like it. But for that I need to scout that arm, which I'll be doing right now with the axeman from the first pic of last post going 2NW and then maybe more north and the WB from gold city who is already going north and who can scout the coastline.
My main concern is to get access to good land which won't be easy after this expansion push. But any input on IW vs currency is welcome.
BTW did I mention that I have two aggressive neighbors ? Agent attacked me just because he could and CH declared a border war against him razing one of his cities. So I might be forced into choices I don't want to make.

Excellent - economy crashed is a good sign! Now the thing to do is get it fixed. I'm afraid Iron Working isn't going to do that for you... I think your tech choice is between Alphabet and Currency.
Alphabet is 2/3 the cost of Currency, it lets you sign OBs with CH, Ipecac and Agent (they might even pay you for them if you pitch it right) getting +1 commerce in each city and allowing you to map them out, it also lets you convert hammers straight to research and then cuts the cost of Currency by 20%.
Currency lets you build 75 hammer Markets (how many extra happy do they give?), gets you +1 commerce in each city, it lets you convert hammers straight to cash and then puts Code of Laws one tech away.
If you really want your AGG Praets the questions are:
1. What would you use them for?
1a. Taking/burning Dreylin/Agent/CH's coastal cities (5XP gets you Amphibious!)
1b. Going for a neighbour over land
1c. Deterring your aggressive neighbours from looking your way before they get Maces
2. How does that help you recover your economy?
Now that your borders have butted I think you just need to make sure the economy can keep going while taking cities. Trouble is you don't really know which cities you can steal yet and how easy they'll be to keep...

Looks like y'all just have a whale and silk nearby, as far as market resources go... do any of your neighbors have fur or ivory? People are often willing to trade happy resources straight up, e.g. an Ind civ may like gold or gems for their forges as much as you want fur for your markets. Iif that fails, you can toss in a couple gpt to make it more worth their while.
Remember that the harder your economy is crashed, the better that +25% gold multiplier for those markets actually is. If you're breakeven +0 gpt at 0% slider - now that's what I call efficiency, baby!

Last time I checked my neighbors none of them had duplicate resources so it means 1happy with silk and 1 with whale once I settle the northern city. Also the forums would be a help for my first great person, when the happy limit rises I think I'll work 2 scientists in Qunum to get an academy online, or maybe a first GA with the MoM. I haven't met Elum, who's the only ind player so my gold is worth a bit less.
Going full eco with Alpha->Currency->CoL is a possibility. Right now the use for agg preats is burning Dreylin's Access Point by sea and Agent's Adios Sabata by land to be able to settle my dotmap. It helps my eco by allowing me to settle for great tiles in the west with gold and gems and a good 2h plant with food in the east. But it crashes it because the maintenance for those cities will be enormous. It's tempting but probably a bad choice.
I'm not just OCDing over the dotmap, I feel the alternate sites are clearly subpar especially the gems plant which would lose its food and would rely on sharing another city's only food.

I think we're in a race with Agent for this land, good thing is impi vs axe is laughable and the settler is already near the site.
And just as I was saying I hadn't met Elum, here we are

To get the full GP bonus on Fora (it is still 25% in this mod isn't it?) you need to work four specialists:
- 1 spec = 3GPP -> 3GPP (0%)
- 2 spec = 6GPP -> 7GPP (14%)
- 3 spec = 9GPP -> 11GPP (18%)
- 4 spec = 12GPP -> 15GPP (25%)
Which is fine with a library and forum, but if you're short of food working four one turn and none the next is better than a constant two...

Can we have another dotmapping overview (alt-F with resources turned on) please!

I wouldn't worry about a +25% forum really, but this time it's actually useful. I might have time to do a dotmap overview tomorrow afternoon but no promises I'm having a busy weekend and classes are starting on monday.
