That was rather what inspired my post upthread.
Pointing out someones weaknesses whilst their blood is up is generally a recipie for making them angrier.
I like your thoughts on economic agression - not really thought of it in quite that way before, but it makes all kinds of sense.

It might be their style of posting, but then they really should grow some thicker skin to be able to take some criticism themselves.
I really appreciate the effort they put into the game for us lurkers. That, or their famous names, does not give them the right for adhominem attacks, though.

Kylearan, I don't really see a problem with what you wrote and I agree with what you're saying, but given their current level of frustration (I'd be pretty upset if I was in their shoes too), I think the timing was bad rather than what you wrote.

I understand your frustrations, but we must not forget that 'Speaker & Sullla's thread 'is still private. I take issue with you saying that they are 'openly ridiculing' their opponents. I agree that they are ridiculing them and sometimes a bit too rudely for my taste, but none of the other players have read these remarks, and will not until their game is over.
If they were ridiculing and insulting other players through their diplomacy or the public player thread then I would agree that it is out of order. But as of yet, they are not.
In my opinion, this is the worst thing any lurker can do - going into a team's thread and openly criticising them for something you do not like. It causes nothing other than aggravation to that particular team and the last thing we need is a team refusing to continue because they are being rounded on by 'lurkers'.
Yes, you have an issue with their choice of language and opinions, but their thread is NOT the place to discuss it. Say it here or nowhere.

The amazing thing is they still don't get it what they did wrong. Those are great micromanager and (what we seen in this war till now) great military tacticians but they have no clue about human motivation and behavior. And their attitude toward their opponents is quite disturbing.

I wrote "openly" for two reasons: 1) The other players *will* read the thread after the game, and 2) we lurkers read the thread now, and I generally find it rude to call other people names, especially when they are not (yet) present.

I agree if it's something about the game you do not like. I strongly disagree if it's about personal behavior.

That's exactly what I should *not* do. Attacking them on a personal level only here, where they cannot (yet) defend themselves? *That* is rude in my opinion, and exactly what they are doing and what I take issue with.

Okay, that makes more sense if you're doing it for posterity's sake. However, critiquing them with them in their current state of mind and expecting them to listen is somewhat an exercise in futility and rage.

Would a moderator warn you for personal attacks on this forum? If the answer is yes, then we need a moderator here to "officially" warn S&S about there behaviour, and we all need to stay within those guidelines.
If personal attacks are OK (Look at what I did with Kalin 6 months ago in RBPB1), then just leave it and we can watch the dust up when this game is finished.

I couldn't help but notice that Jowy didn't even mind Mr. Svinlesha's postings in his thread. Granted Speaker is on the receiving end of the things, but still.
Kylearan's post is argurmental at best, but Mr. Svinlesha's postings were more judgmental.

hehe Sullla still doesn't get it and can't understand at all, his example shows it. He's determined to think that people ganged up on his team just because of who was on it when that rather obviously wasn't the case. Other players were certainly keeping a closer eye on them as they were probably the favorites due to their skill but the hammer only dropped when they ran away in the lead and made it obvious others wouldn't be able to come back (as they've said themselves).
To make Sullla's example fit this game it would have to be some very good well respected Descent player pulls away big time in the lead and is very close to outright winning the match but then expecting none of the other players to try to reel them back in to stand any chance at winning themselves.
