How are we going to determine who would go into which category? I'm not quite a "newbie," but I don't consider myself a veteran, either. Of course, I'd just as soon let others decide.
The more I think about it, the more I want to play in one of these games, even if it's against my better judgment.

I'd play but I'm looking for a team game where I don't have to do any more diplo  .

You could take a stab at Ruff's Tokugawa and just not do any diplo. :neenernee

Well it's good to see there's a fair bit of interest now, particularly for a game split by experience level. As I see it the less experienced players might be Kyan, Malakai, Strike700 and myself. Whosit as a possible, and Jowy who knows?
And as for the more experienced, don't know if Ruff was interested in playing or just suggesting another game. Krill seemed keen, and if darrell was he'd likely be in their weight class. If Ilios was also interested I have no idea what level he'd prefer.
Greens: Kyan, Malakai, seifer_md, Strike700, Whosit(?) and Jowy(?) - 6
Vets: Ruff(?), Krill, darrell(?) and Ilios(?) - 4
That's just a rough guess, and if we could get people to start confirming then surely that will give us some momentum of getting something organised.

I'm on board with that As long as it's No-Tech-Trading though, even though I love having teamwork allowed, I don't like making it a must-have. I'd count myself as a beginner.. I'm very civ-savvy, but lack experience. Though I don't mind going against the big dogs to get us 5 on both games.

If you like, I wouldn't mind being in a 'game admin' position for the beginners game, just to keep an eye on things and resolve any problems that come up as I would have the time to keep an eye out and am happy to do it.
Obviously its up to the players but I'd like to stake my claim that's all.

I think the simultaneous games would be truly epic. Would love to see how other people play the same situations after the game.
If TT wasn't wanting to play then we could do:
GREENS
Kyan, Malakai, seifer-md, Strike700, Whosit OR Jowy
VETS
Ruff_Hi, Krill, Darrell, Ilios, Whosit or Jowy.
That would be two games with 5 teams each. I'm not sure who from Jowy or Whosit would be best. Perhaps one of you is confident of making the 'step up' ?
If people are happy with this, we could then move on to settings etc?

Let's not forget though it was Ruff who first suggested this so i'd apprecite his opinion on this. Personally i think it would be extremely interesting from a lurker perspective and definitely fun to read back and check how your 'mirror image' got on from a playing perspective.
If anyone else was interested in playing though, now would be the time to say whilst we can still re-arrange things.
eg. If another 'green' player wanted in we could perhaps move Jowy and whosit to vets and re-instate TT (against his will if necessary  )
