Labour with someone else would shit on Boris IMO. But If Boris goes to the polls having effected Brexit he will be loved by enough to get his majority IMO.

First, when May was saying "No Deal is Better than a Bad Deal", they were actually negotiating a deal,

I'll believe it when I see it.

Quote:"No Deal is Better than a Bad Deal" works for the EU too, and they have the political will to go through with it.

Ditto. If Boris is serious (ditto) and calls, we'll see if it's a bluff.

The political calculus on both sides seems to be that budging is suicidal. I don't see how anything but a no deal Brexit in October happens now.

Well the more interesting question after the unavoidable no deal is: What will happen on and around the irish border and also the scottish indepence. Those two I find a lot more interesting then any election after the Brexit.

Scotland is gone. And then they'll pull out the real Stone of Destiny. Or so I was told by a taxi driver.

A lot can happen in three years. Three years ago, most of the intellectuals were dead certain that the referendum would never result in Leave, three years later most of them are getting resigned to Leave being inevitable. A complete paradigm shift.

The next 3-6 years will be most interesting. If Brexit happens and Salvini gains enough strength, he'll likely pull Italy out of the EU, dealing it a mortal blow.

I predict if there's a Brexit-Tory compact they win, otherwise Remain wins someday. I don't believe a Labour-Lib Dem compact is possible because Corbyn would refuse to do the right thing and commit political suicide. If he would do that he would have propped up May to prevent an election where the Remain vote is split (he committed himself because the Brexit Party showed up).

BJ will run out the clock unless a National Unity government happens. There's a good chance that doesn't happen because the Lib Dems want to become the main opposition and making humiliating demands to Corbyn is a way to do it. If Corbyn accepts he gets humiliating and if the UK crashes out Lib Dems can blame Corbyn for it.
