After getting owned by well managed longbowmen, horse archers, and axemen, it's going to be "interesting" to see how Athelete's worn-down empire does against fresh and better managed cuirassiers and muskets, isn't it?

Given that slaze is unlikely to accept peace, I cannot see how he can defend two fronts. Especially when one will be attacked with (partially) more advanced units. I can't see him lasting too long. Perhaps we should set up a sweepstake... :-)

I was trying to think last night if athlete could / would / should capitulate to slaze

Could he use the ingame mechanics for this or are vassal states disabled? Because I cannot see that slaze would accept it otherwise as he probably views athlete not as a trustworthy player anymore.

Vassal states are disabled, Whosit was contemplating vassalage to Korea , but without the game option enabled it wouldn't have forced a peace with Slaze.

And given the recent gifted troops back/front stab I'd be very unwilling to take an unenforcable vassalage agreement if I was in Slaze's shoes?

I am reminded of:
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, WATCH IT! I'm HUGE!"
It works better for India's refusal to sell troops, though...

Would it be spoilerish to post the following in Broker/Plako's thread:
"I recommend T Hawk's analysis for deciding when a merchant is a better choice and when a scientist is a better choice. After reading it, I found that my "gut feeling" was usually right. I'm sure the same will be true for you guys. But if you haven't read it, it's pretty cool to quantify a gut feeling. I've yet to find anyone who does that better than T Hawk. (link)"
I would defend such a post as "not spoilerish". I wouldn't be telling them what to do, but providing them with another resource that they haven't quoted yet (they have quoted CFC). Would there be considerable objection to such a post?
You can get a look at a t-bone by looking up the bulls ass but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.
