DMOC has already guessed india's next target correctly -- it may not matter. But as soon as he spots that stack you can bet there is going to be a warning sentm if not earlier

I'd definately bring it up in the IT thread if I was still playing and noticed it. But then again, Spullla seems to get away with everything because of their rockstar status.

Well they're not the only ones that fit that category!!!!
I didn't have a problem with it at all

I think it is pretty obvious that the players who where allied against Spullla will look with less forgiving eyes on this than the players who sided with Spullla.... that would be the most natural thing IMHO

I thought that double-moves are only relevant when at war with the other civilization? If somebody plays shortly before the turn ends and the new turn afterwards he will quite often perform double-moves.
And I guess if everyone would provide as much information as Spullla we could often read about playing "clock-games", don't you think?

It is dodgy...but legal. Gamesmanship, so many people can't say the word, they have to spit it.

No. They're relevant whenever you gain advantage by double-moving instead of letting your opponent move in-between. One case we discussed early on was settlers. I'd definately put this right into the same category, and what makes it worse is that Spullla made it with full understanding that it's a shady move. Perhaps they've already learned from the past cases that they can do whatever they want.

Where exactly in the rules does it say anywhere you gain an advantage? Krill's double move rule as currently written only deals with war. I agree it might be against the faith of the rule, but I don't think it is actually against the rule.

This. Unfortunately.
I sympathise with what Jowy says on this, and I think it is against the 'spirit' of the current rule, but not against it.
I do not like the current rule, but it is the rule. It should be worded to be against the rule for anything that is deemed 'a significant advantage' or something similar, but it is too late in this game and even that can leave loopholes.
