Well I surely have no issues with that zakalwe. I try to help, not to put myself into a spotlight. I probably have not formulated my last posting as good as I should have due to my time constraints. Probably should not have written it at all.

To be honnest, I don't even think this trade is fair for HRE.
In the game position, Spullla would have less trouble rebuilding 7 cav than HRE would have to rebuild 1rifle+4cannons.

I was wondering if a punishment such as keeping a "The world considers you a villain!" counter on the number of defiances a faction makes (+5 each defiance), and just move on with the game be a viable resolution?
Then at the end just create a results thread of some sort, with the "The world considers you a villain!" counter slapped next to each side, followed by the reasons for the 'villany'.
I'm sure that readers can judge for themselves whether they are truly 'villanous' or otherwise.

Just a suggestion for compromise:
Spullla accepts Krill's punishment in exchange for Krill stepping down as admin. This way, both can have their say in it and this game is almost over for needing an admin...

I never thought of that. That's a great idea.

I have a feeling they wouldn't go for it. 7 Cav is a hefty price for an out of game change in admin that won't have a huge effect in game.

Posted by Sullla in the IT-thread yesterday:
Quote:We would only accept the current ruling under the following two conditions:
- The five remaining teams agree on a new, much simpler ruleset.
- Someone other than Krill becomes the new game admin. Or we simply have no admin at all.
I truly am sorry about that second condition, but there's been too much drama accumulating over the past few months. Speaker and I can't work with Krill any longer. One of us has to go. Or it's just time to end the game here, sadly.

It became pretty clear a few weeks ago that realistically, this game is over. The descent into infighting and personality conflicts is regrettable and unnecessary, and I have to say beneath the dignity of both the community and the individuals involved.
I came into this being excited about watching sullla, but I feel really bad for Krill who only tried his best to be fair and diligent but has to take this abuse and drama. I can't see how anyone in their right mind would volunteer to adjudicate any other game after this.
If nothing else this game is a learning experience on the kinds of events that occur in civ that are difficult to legislate and regulate, that one might reflect upon in order to improve future games....
.... just in time for CIV 5

*shrug* I only agreed to arbitrate and administrate the game because it got bogged down when Spullla and Jowy argued over the turn split, and the game got stopped. All of the teams agreed that I'd do those jobs for them, after it became known that the teams could do them themselves.
Now, I have absolutely no problem with stepping down from the current role, provided each team still in the game wants that. I feel that stepping down because one team demands it is betraying the original agreement that all the teams made. It is also giving in to bullying (do what we want or we trash the game, luckily it is already over), but that isn't for me to deal with, that is up to the players to decide what to do.
All said though, I wouldn't call the task thankless, but you do have to have a thick skin to deal with it.

I assume that is what you meant?
I have to run.
