He's also doing a nice job of demonstrating why giving him a free 10T of peace was a bad idea.

It looks like he might even make significant gains against Superdeath; I had ulterior motives for moving Nauf's scout over to take a look: He is dead. He is only succeeding in knocking down someone else. With a 1 mover army against shock vultures and cats he can take the first city and MAYBE 1 more, but the farther he advances the more likely it is a successful attack by one of the people he as been fighting all game can do. He also can't heavily garrison those cities long term and they are vulnerable from SD culture to counterattack. So do you knock down someone who helped you and hasn't attacked you or do you save your strength to live longer and hurt people who have hurt you.
And taking two cities is pretty good. If he can parlay that into peace before the other two can hit him again he might still be in an okay position to defend, having made gains.

WHY is SD building elephants. He has shock vultures......... He should be whipping cats and vultures. You hit gav the last turn he is is on flat ground, you get max collateral with your cats, and because your vultures are on hill they get defensive bonus if remains of gav stack strike back.
If you are ever in a situation where your cats can get max collateral it doesn't really matter what you build. Just builds cats plus as much other stuff as you can. Elephants are like the 1 unit he can build here NOT to repel this. ![]() Mind you he sounds confident of repelling in any case. He has a lot of whipping time as Gav slow marches. I do want to note how FAR away Gavs stack will be even if he succeeds in taking GLH city from defending his main core. I'm betting he just razes it to spite SD for whatever reasons Gav has for this whole thing. ![]()
And Commodore posted. I am curious about what Pin will do here. This is a situation where a random scout showing you Gav moving his entire army away from your easiest expansion point would have been really nice.
Mind you Pin might have something setup with Bing, but taking over Gav with his army off in no where seems easier than taking over Commodore. You can take over Gav after all, tech to knights, and then try to split Commodore once you have a better unit to crack longbows and have more production queues.
CtH elephants are overrated. They are a Jack-of-all-trades unit that cost more than specialized units. I would almost always rather have something else.
I never know how overly dramatic Nauf is for reporting purposes if he is serious or not. He is talking about needing to race towards Migs capital, but he holds the key already.
![]() Cathy Ames culture essentially assures Nauf of getting everything south of that due to being able to cut supply lines PLUS Joker as well. Its a culturally key spot. Nauf starting conquering Ginger in the north was a key decision. I'm not sure how long Nauf has on peace treaty left with Magic (5 turns I believe?), but you could very much argue he shouldn't have declared on Mig and instead just waited with his army. Declare on Magic, raze Joker (I assume Magic wouldn't have left his army there to be hit), get peace, and THEN go kill Mig.
There's no way MS can keep Iago while Naufragar holds Cathy Ames. As a firm proponent of capturing, that is a city I would have razed unless I was declaring war on Naufragar.
Over/under on 5t till they're in a hot war?
