[SPOILERS PB71]Krill: By the numbers, when the walls fell (on everyone else)

Well...Pindicator is going to get all his cities back next turn, and then the question is if Thoth can defend against samurai a second time.

I had to rush this turn (I know PBSpy says it took half an hour, I wasn't in front hte PC for all that time). Might get a report to you on Tuesday with a bit of an update around potential build plans.

What do you think of me playing this game out with the goal of extracting the greatest yield possible from the core lands?

Play it out however you'd like, but the builder in me loves seeing numbers go up.

Well, right now most numbers are going up, except my gpt which is going down.

Costs of building an army, but if I'm not goin to use it, I'll have to move over to grocers and banks.

Quick question though: I hasve not played a game with corps for a very long time, but is it possible to have two corps active in one city, if they do not consume the same resources? ie can Cereal Mills and Mining Inc be in the same city?

Absolutely. Part of the reason corps break culture victory is you can do the busted Sushi/Creative/Jewellers combo even if you've ignored culture all game.

No screenshot just yet. There isn't much to actually report, other than every city has pretty much rolled over to some buildings and the bank in Apple gave me 60 gpt. The siege units are no reaching Bings cities and I will gradually remove him from the game, probably looking at another 15 turns to do it efficiently though.

Commodore is continuing to stack up, and he is second in power. I'm going to have to swap back to a few more units (I need some more pikes given how Commodore is building knights now), but he has crossbows in place. The right way to handle him is ye olde cat stack and simply having more hitters. Boring boring stack combat.

Commodore retreated out of his front city. Or rather, he may have repositioned to attack Thoth who he now has a good power advatnage over.

I'm not going to pressure him. Even once he commits his units into Thoth's culture, I don't have anything except a really strong defensive force. I have 8 maces which can be promoted to CR3 and I could dump them on his front lawn any turn I play, but I would need another turn to position catapults. Why do it? Cherry is already winning the culture war without a cathedral, and I wouldn't get his other front city (the one with Versailles). I'd never be able to push further than that. In short, I don't think this would help me win the game, whether I was playing to win via space, or by domination.

If I was going to push on further, then I would do far better taking out Yuri: if Thoths culture disappears from the Isthmus it's a straightforward defense: Hold that western front city like a standard disposable front city, the western coast is held by navy and standard city defenders, the eastern coast opposite Commodore is entirely off the caost so is area defence with catapults, and then have to hold Cherry and Rhubarb without retreating (ie maintain a larger stack than Commodore and Pindicator).

Yuri can't really be attacked safely until after I capture Bings last three cities. That should take around 10 turns, then reposition and heal. Realistically Thoth could be absolutely broken by then.

State of the world: war.

Sufficed to say that if Commodore had invaded me with that stack I'd have lost Cherry (OTOH, I've moved units away because I saw him moving towards Thoth. If those units hadn't moved it would not be a sure thing either way).

Cherry is now at max size, making 36 hpt. We have the Ottawwa scale for capitals, but do we have anything for HE cities? Given there is not a single hill at Cherry this feels like water and wine stuff: one turn 4 promo muskets and maces, but not quite one turn knights (essentially have to alternate mace and knights, or a cat and three knights).

Apple is still two pop down from the max of size 20. It will take 25 turns to get there.

Corps will increase the output of both cities, but at this point I'd be aiming for Biology to make the great plains useful, and it is that food which would open up a few more cottages or specialists.

HE scales really would depend on if the city is costal or not. And then that would go into examining the Moai-ness of your city if it has water.

I'd say a good early HE is worth about as much as a great late one. I was very fond of Fondor, even if it wasn't the most insane hammer city:
