Version:
Beyond the Sword v3.13
Scenario:
The aim of this game is to WIN. To that end, I've set the difficulty
level to 'Prince'. Now, because that might be a touch dull, I've
based the map on my own mapscript and also introducted a twisted
scoring mechanism. Basically ... "How many different ways can
you win?" This is a scored event (see below) and winning in
multiple ways pays off.
Scoring:
Your score is equal to your Firaxis score (see below) times a multiplier.
Your multiplier is based on the number of victory conditions (call
it 'n') you satisfy on the turn that you first satisfy any victory
condition. Your multiplier is equal to n ^ 2.
So,
the multiplier is:
You satisfy 1 victory condition, then multiplier = 1
You satisfy 2 victory conditions, then multiplier = 4
You satisfy 3 victory conditions, then multiplier = 9
You satisfy 4 victory conditions, then multiplier = 16
You satisfy 5 victory conditions, then multiplier = 25
You satisfy 6 victory conditions, then multiplier = 36
You satisfy 7 victory conditions, then multiplier = 49
Just
to remind you, the victory conditions are: Time, Conquest, Domination,
UN Diplomatic, AP Diplomatic, Space, Culture
Note:
Playing on after you satisfy the first victory condition will have
no impact on your multipler. To get a multiplier higher than 1,
you must achieve your multiple victories (and show evidence of such)
on the same turn (eg exceed the domination limits on the same turn
you finish killing off the other leaders).
About
the Firaxis score:
The Firaxis score is the score that you get at the end of the game.
When you are shown the 'Your Place in History' page (see below),
the Firaxis score is the score that you are judged by ... the 1056
in the picture. You can determine that in-game by hovering the mouse
over your own score in the scoreboard. The blue bordered pop-up
will display on the bottom left showing you the current Firaxis
score if you finished on the current round.
Closing
Day: Monday, March 17. Reports due by the end of March 18, your
local time.
