A short list of rules with a double-sized "Don't be a jerk" at the bottom and Plako and other experienced lurkers (Krill, Noble, etc) as the police should do the trick nicely. Sounds like very cool idea . And one of the team (Bears) already voiced concerns about being able to give detailed info about their game because of their language problems. I can only imagine how cool it will be for the lurkers to observe things in real time . I also think that saying "rules are the problem" misses the point. The problem is players not respecting the rules - either because they are not able to understand them (like too vague jerk rule) ... or for other reasons . I am glad to see so far we view things similarly, with Blame Caledorn team and Eat Your Heart Alive voicing similar opinions. I am also OK with banning all city gifts except the case LP described - what I called "returning to the previous owner". Bowsling wanted city gifting allowed in some situations, though. I have no string feelings on the issue, other than game breaking city gifts should be definitely disallowed. I am glad there is consensus on playing as in Spanish mod was in effect - that should ensure that we will "fight peacefully" and will decrease inevitable paranoia . Quote:It's a double move by the criteria of moving twice to get an advantage (in denying knowledge), not something that could be affected by a war declarationI'll repeat: never double move if to do so would gain you an advantage you wouldn't have available in a sequential game.
Erebus in the Balance - a FFH Modmod based around balancing and polishing FFH for streamlined competitive play.
Yeah, giving the opponent the knowledge that they would have if it were sequential is an important point. So no double moving workers or settlers past a sentry unit, no moving a scout next to and away from borders etc without enabling the opposing player to take in that information.
I've done some soul searching and I think I'm not suitable admin for this game. So you need to try to find another or do without. I'm still making the map though.

Plako, are you sure? You seemed like a perfect admin for this game . Perhaps you will consider this a bit longer before giving us your final decision? Apparently we lost Plako, though .
I'm sorry for letting you down and causing unnescessary drama. I'll be definately following the game and can give my opinion if asked and maybe even without asking . I just feel I shouldn't be official admin of the game. There are also other experienced players watching so I'm sure that in case of disputes you can't get sorted out yourself you can get ruling from someone.
