I sort of assume everyone is already reading Zonal Marking, but I thought this was one of the more interesting pieces of the World Cup so far - sort of breaking down what caused the Brazil meltdown. Everytime I read this I think of watching television and listening to Lalas bellow "set pieces" and think about how much more money he gets paid than Michael Cox (the guy who writes this site) and think about slitting my wrists.
Anyway, have a read. On a final aside, kind of interesting how much world football really has changed. Lahm is the only German who would realistically get into the Brazilian defense while Neymar is the the only Brazilian who could get into the German attack. Who would have imagined you'd say that 12 years ago?
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Wow, Netherlands-Arrgentina was probably the most boring game of this World Cup. I suggest sending both teams home and giving the trophy to Germany instead.
For the twitch denizens, I saw this last night and laughed heartily:
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Every 60 seconds in Brazil, Germany scores a goal. Together we can stop this. Please spread the word ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) On a non-world cup related note, I have to say there's little more satisfying than after 15 years of selling our best players to Real Madrid and Barcelona in successive summers buying Ozil from Real to fund a purchase of Bale from the scum and buying Alexis from Barcelona to fund a purchase of Bitey McBiterson from LivingInThePast FC. \o/

This hearthstone reddit post probably made me laugh more than I should have.

That's awesome. I'm fairly happy with Real Madrid picking up Toni Kroos, they needed serious help in the midfield. I'm also glad Barcelona got Bitey, because it makes them that much easier to hate.
