@scooter - we might have one spot left (not sure if Ichabod/Mist qualify for the last spot) but I'm not sure if we have room for another American team. The funny thing is that the signups are basically the people I mentioned to Gaspar as we've discussed this.

I'd like to play, if I could use Mist pick. But I'm the worst teammate ever, as you can see from Pitboss 7 and FFH X, so I'm not sure if Mist wants to play with me.

Looks like I'd be the 4th American yeah... Though looking at this roster, it's 4 very reliable players, so I'd suspect it'd be fine. We've been averaging 3T/day over in PBEM36 with 3 Americans. I don't mind too much though, I'll sit if you think it's too much.

Well with the young Miss O'Dore two months out I'm not expecting to be an evening slot, probably morning or lunchtime here.
Only two real preferences are CTON, and WE banned (THAT is one broken unit I'm not interested in giving a second chance).

Well, looks like that filled faster than I thought. 
I went ahead and took them in the order they came in so that's Dave, Yuri, Commodore, Mistkebab ) I put scooter down in the phantom 6th spot (think we'd all probably agree 6 is too many) in case someone changes their mind throughout the setup process.
I guess we should go ahead and vote on settings, and also solicit a mapmaker. I see a couple of fine choices posted upthread. *cough Krill, plako cough*
Like I said, I'd prefer to keep the bans to a minimum at least partly due to the fact that we have basically 5 powerhouse choices in here and such.
Always War: Yes/No
Diplomacy: Full/AI Diplo + banter thread/AI Diplo with no thread
Nukes: On/Off
Spies: On/On minus Civic/Religion missions/Off
Corporations: On/Off
War Elephants: Yes/No
Wonder Bans: (Specify choices here)
Blockades: On/Off before Galleons/Off
I think that's it, though if someone would like to propose something that's certainly fair. I'll vote in a bit.

Or we'll just kill each other and one of us withdraws to be a lurker, our PYFT rating is good enough to run a PBEM on its own either way
