The downside of having a tracker is that there's no sense in posting "who has the save?" anymore.

I have to run.
The annoying thing is sunrise had that save in time to play Thursday night yet didn't play it until a point on Saturday that means it won;t get to Darrell until Sunday night.
The rest of us can play the turn in a single day and sunrise, you hold onto it for effectively 2 days. I know circumstances have changed, but this isn't acceptable.
Oh misery, oh misery! Truly, every Egyptian mourns on this day for the brave and valiant Axe-Man. He alone escaped from the burning inferno of Leviathan, and he alone braved the Chinese wilderness, eluding patrol after patrol of maces. With his awe inspiring super-power of throwing axes, Axe-Man was the bane of any ancient-era melee unit who dared cross his path. Indeed, the conniving Mayans were so afraid of him that they recalled all their forces from Egypt and rushed at him in a blind panic. But Axe-Man had no bad intentions; there was no thing more loathe to him than war, and so he approached the horde bearing naught but the white flag of peace. Only to be met by the scheming treachery of a cowardly bullet.
Axe-Man, you will be missed. And you SHALL BE AVENGED. [Save sent!]

Shall I stop playing? If I may, please remember two things: 1) This is not the game I signed up for. Playing with no demos is not at all fun for me. Despite that I've played the game out more or less to its conclusion. 2) When I signed up I made it pretty clear I wasn't going to be playing the save reliably right when I received it. No one pushed back on that. With that established, what the heck does "in time to play" mean anyways? I got the save at ~11:30pm on Thursday. I played it when I first accessed my PC on Saturday. I didn't play it Friday, a day I worked for 10 hours during and then went out to a restaurant, not making it home until after 1:00am. The current turns in the game aren't exactly stress free, and I'm not prepared to try and play rushed, tired, and drunk. I've had no problem with lighthearted prompting for some time, but I've no interest in being told by any particular player than my out-of-game behavior is unacceptable. You somehow made an admin password that you forgot and can provide no clues to crack, but you don't see me reminding you of this twice per week. sunrise089 Wrote:2) When I signed up I made it pretty clear I wasn't going to be playing the save reliably right when I received it. I was told that this would be okay and that the game could have a more relaxed pace. Only a truly skilled warrior could survive for so long in hostile terrain. I will not send my men to their deaths unneccesarily! As such, it was deemed that 30 riflemen and 30 cavalry would be sufficient for the job. I was tempted to delay the attack for 2 turns for the tanks to turn up but the wily Axeman would surely have escaped by then, leaving a trail of Mayan corpses. If revenge is sought, i wholeheartedly welcome you to come visit us. Did you know that there has yet to be a single enemy unit enter our borders in the history of our organisation? Come, my Egyptian friends. Kyan Leader of Geo-Political Domination Division of Bregan D'aerthe (GPDDBD). |
