Are there any reference material out there for casting range/distance?

If not, can we put our heads together and establish some sort of distance measurement, and test various casting range? Stuff like this would be useful for the weird things that we do

Well, maybe not really rich. Just rich enough to buy all of the armor upgrades in Post-Sear Ascalon, depending on how much time you put into it. I've done this with my last two characters and it's pretty easy.

The key is salvaging collection items, specifically Skale Fins. Skale Fins salvage into Scales, and a stack of 10 Scales usually sells at the Material Trader for 120-180 gold. That's about 15 gold per Scale (not including the salvage gear cost). It's a pretty decent return on a few second's time spent killing a lowly Skale. Don't do the 5 Skale Fins > Belt Pouch trade with the collector outside Ascalon. 5 Skale Fins translates to 75 gold in post-sear, and you can get a Belt Pouch from the collector outside Ashford Abbey by turning in 5 Worn Belts.

It's pretty easy to run up and down the river in pre-sear a few times and amass a decent amount of Skale Fins. You don't even have to dedicate much extra time to do this -- just use the river to run between map points and kill Skales as you go.

I know I have mentioned more than once that my husband's hobby is stained glass.

I finally got myself a digital camera last weekend, and spent the weekend playing with it.

I'm tempted to try it - might unlock some special quest or something, but given that the cloak is 200 gp (!), I haven't worked up the nerve yet.

Anyone tried it? If so, what was the result?

I joined the guild using a character named Woot Leetskills, not knowing that all of my characters would be tied to that name. I wish I would have joined using Dee Bye. Is it possible to do this now, maybe by quitting the guild and rejoining using a new character name?

Mission - Fort Ranik. Retake the Great North Wall.

I ran solo with henchies last nite all the way to the front of the Wall. Not knowing I should have collected all the catapult parts before I active the Charrs, or whatever it is that would allow me to get the parts and restore the catapult before the Charr army amass to block the entrance to the Wall. The henchies managed to get themselves killed in short order, and again after I used up the one time res signet of the healer. The Healer woke up and res'd the war, and of course he just had to go charge in and kiss Charr toe nails.

So Demi was left alone, refusing to give up without a good fight. She managed to pull and kill a handful of Charrs but what was fun was that she was trying to sneak thru the army to grab the last part of the catapult. It ended up that broken pile was empty without parts but she did manage to sneak in and out. In the end, I had to try something more daring and get killed so I can go to sleep.

I am thinking this would make a nice run with PoO's SoulFlayer, Cy's Oxide, and we still have room for one more Clvl 8-9-10 character. Even if just the 3 of us, we might want to forego getting a henchman tho we can still hire one.

It would be fun to not use the catapult to mass kill the Charrs, and test our skill pulling small waves of rushing Charrs.

Hmm, how many times does the pit get refilled with Charr army?

Lets make it easier to recognize who is who and get organized online.
My recommendation is for everyone to make a character under the name you post with.
- Leave the guild when another guild member is online (use the icon left to your name for options)
- Make a new character with the name you post with
- Get re-invited
- Delete the character if you want. The deleted name will still show when other people mouse over your current character name in the guild panel
