Feature request to the people fiddling with hosting our pitboss games: Take an autosave every time a player logs out. This should minimize the pain of reloading a game.
Is this a technical impossibility?

At this point in time, the only ones that should be able to see this thread are myself, Commodore, and Mardoc. If you are not one of those 3 people, please tell me because this is set up wrong. :P

Boardgaming through VASSAL |

I've recently come across a program called VASSAL, it's an open source Java based framework for various board games and war games and so on. There are over 1300 different games with modules that you can download and play. I've done some fooling around with a few of the games, and they seem to have pretty solid implementations of a bunch of well known games, as well as quite a few i've never heard of.
You can either set up games to play in real time or over PBEM, which will probably also depend on what type of game you're playing and how often other players need to provide input.
I know that there's a good few RB people I've talked to here that are interested in various board games, so I thought this is something that we could use to expand that interest with others here.

Not in a hurry for a new computer |

I am in the market for a new computer but not in a hurry, meaning I can wait if the next generation (the next big thing) of video cards, CPUs are due to come out in the next few months, or if there's rumor of a price drop. My current Dell Demension 9200 Quad-Core Q6600 that's 6-7 years old still serves me well except it can use a lot more memory and a tad more speed. I need it to run Photoshop CS5 comfortably. (Off Topic: Not going to get into this latest Adobe Cloud scam)
I am not looking for the latest bestest set up but something in the ~$1,000 cdn range (what I paid for the 9200). I have been buying Dell for more than a decade. They are not the cheapest best deal around but it is a name I trust. I have not have to call Dell once. Seems I have no tolerance to fiddle with soft/hardware anymore, I've somehow ungeeked myself.
The model I am looking at is XPS 8700 @ $1,199.991
The next one @1699 seems a bit pricey (+$500) for 16 GB more ram and an extra TB storage.
Also for sale by Dell is Alienware X51 @ $1,199.991 (the one with the Student Offer). A quick glance says it is a dumped down version of the Dell XPS 8700 in a very cool looking box. Did I miss something?
Are there better compromises out there, worthy upgrades?

So I was just informed that I will not be having internet, from July 11 to July 22 so I'm going to need a sub to for Pitboss 12, and potentially a sub for PBEM 45 Greens.
