I wasn't planning on writing a report since I knew I would have little time to play this game. In fact, at the time of this writing, my game is still not complete (I'm in a hotel far away from home with the worst broadband connection ever -- not what you'd expect from a $340/night hotel charging another $12/day for Internet).
In any case, on with this very brief and picture-less report...
Buddhism founded by Justinian who kindly spreads it to 3 of my 4 cities... enough to get me to convert considering that Happiness is at a real premium this game. He manages to spread to everyone except Lincoln (Hindu) and Victoria (Jewish). Us Buddhists form the uber religious bloc and have great relations for a long time.
I was really surprised that the raging barbs posed little threat to me. I had gone Archery first, but the AI kept attacking my archers in forests. I think that since we were in the upper corner of a map, that gave us a lot less territory to defend since we did not have to worry about attacks from the west or north. Also, I was really surprised not to see Axemen, Chariots, and Swordsmen much, much earlier.
I attack Lincoln since he dared settle a city just before my own Settler could get there. He was the logical first target regardless since he was close, and no one liked him except Victoria who was far away.
I finally made peace with him having 1 city left since I wanted to extort 2 good techs from him that no one else wanted to trade. I figured that I would finish him off in 10 turns... except that he became Pericle's vassal and Pericles was now on my eastern front and #1 score-wise. I really wasn't ready for a war with Pericles so I decided to keep building troops and wait it out.
My military plan for a while had been to get to Cossacks asap. I used all my Great Generals on Horse Units to get free Horse upgrades as well as really kick ass units. There weren't many Pikemen around so this generally worked well early on.
Since finishing off Lincoln was off the table, it was time to go after Justinian next, before starting war with Perciles. Justinian wasn't doing all that great, but he had founded Buddhism so getting the shrine would be sweet for my economy. His territory was also pretty well sealed off making it easier to defend down the road. So I declared war on Justinian right after upgrading all my Cuirassiers to Cossacks.
And then Pericles declared war on me since Justinian was also Pericles' vassal and I had not noticed at all. I tried to fight off Pericles to the north while demolishing Justinian in the south, but Pericles simply had too many forces. The turn I quit I actually had a vote to stop all wars against Buddhists. I forgot to mention that someone else had built the AP (Buddhism), but I actually got elected. I probably could have won an AP Diplo victory if I had Open Borders wit Victoria. My relations with the Buddhists were in the +15 range.
I actually reloaded the game before declaring war to continue playing it from there. I built up troops until Justinian renounced the protection of Pericles and then attacked Justinian and bribed Genghis to join in (he was backwards tech wise so it was easy). Huayna meanwhile was teching like a champ. The war against Justinian went well, although nowhere near as well as the first time since he now had Rifles (as did I). But well enough to take the cities I wanted before War Weariness got out of hand (the fact that someone went Emancipation wasn't helping my case).
I'm currently at the point where I am the only civ with Infantry and ready to get back to war once I build some more jails. I will probably play this game when I get home and let you all know how it ends.
Since a Diplo win is probably no longer an option, I am aiming for Domination.

Ahh! I forgot about the report! Well, if it doesn't get into the summary, no big deal. I didn't actually win, after all. Report's not too long, because I tried to build myself through the ages without any real conflicts. And despite needing to be very lucky in my last war, that plan was pretty much successful.
report
I actually think I got closer to victory here than in Adv28, so I was pleased with myself. Incidentally, in the game I started afterward I had Mansa try to go for a cultural victory. Let's just say he didn't survive that =)
Oh, and does anyone know the answer to the question at the end of my report? Is it possible to destroy a city (and thus negate its part in cultural victory) by nuking it into oblivion?

This is my first RB game and I didn't have the time to finish it, so I'll just summarize the main events:
4000 BC Settled in place.
I went Archery - BW - Masonry; Worker first then 2 or 3 Archers
The Great Wall came in in 2240 BC.
I still hadn't met anyone yet at this point, so I didn't think going for early Alphabet would be a good idea. Instead, I went Agriculture - AH - Writing - Maths - Currency while expanding to 3 cities (in the same places as T-hawk, but in different order.
This completely tanked my economy, and I was stuck building and then disbanding Archers in my cities whilst waiting for Currency. (The unit costs were crippling)
It arrived in AD 125, and I traded it to Lincoln for Alphabet, which he had conveniently just researched.
This let me in to the tech trading game, and I soon had knowledge of all known techs. (I only knew Lincoln, Justinian and Victoria, however).
Justinian has founded Buddhism and Judaism, Lincoln founded Hinduism. It was a marriage made in heaven...
...if you are a divorce lawyer, that is.
At around this time, I founded a city for the southern gems, and this is all I would be able to afford for quite some time.
At AD 1000 I went on a capturing spree. Three barbarian cities became mine, and I now had seven cities which would be the core of my empire. I lost the GLibrary by 2 turns in AD 1060 to the Mongols.
In 1350, my feet are getting itchy and I also notice that there has been a Byzantine city right under my nose for 700 years. This is an affront to civilisation! After a little counsel from Montezuma's alter ego, I declare war immediately. Oh, I also happen to have a stack of maces and trebs to burn.
I captured that city and one other that Big J took from the Barbs before seeing some Cataphracts. These are monsters, so I decide this is a good time to give those lawyers a call and sue for peace. I vow to return with a million pikemen.
I lose the Liberalism race by a few turns in 1490 to Huayna Capac, whilst building another stack of knights, pikes, trebs and maces to assault the Byzantines. (btw, how do you pronounce his name? I can handle Suryavarman, but Huayna?)
I declared war on Justinian again in 1605 with Rifling coming in eight or nine turns. I brought 10 pikemen - did I say 1000000 earlier? I must have miscounted.
I chose to attack the well fortified border city which just happened to control his only source of horses.
See - no horses, no Cataphracts. What's the catch? There are about 15 units inside Antioch. Did I mention that those Cataphracts are monsters?
Anyway, our stacks sign a pact of mutually assured distruction, and the city is mine. As a bonus, it has a Jewish shrine, which is a nice boon.
I capture one other city, before being forced to make peace because of War Weariness.
The current date is now 1685. I have a Rifling monopoly which won't last for all that long.
Several leaders are in WFYABTA mode, and Lincoln is the tech leader, with Pericles in second.
I am in Nationhood and Theocracy. War is coming soon, but who is the target?
To be continued ...
I intend to finish this game, but I won't be able to for a couple of weeks. I'll post my results when I finish.
A few things struck me about this game:
The Boreal map script is very different to the others. I didn't think there would be enough food to build many cottages, so I didn't. I guess this was probably a mistake.
I didn't notice that Abe had no resources. Otherwise, things might have played out a little differently in the early game. Instead I sold him Iron for lots of GPT.
If I have one complaint, it is that Justinian was almost impossible to see against a background of Tundra. Do any of you know how to avoid this?
I never entered Slavery in this game. It didn't seem to me that production was the bottleneck.
Congratulations to everyone who won their games, and thanks, Sullla, for an enjoyable scenario
To summarize, 1685 AD, game incomplete.
