  Guild Invites
Posted by: KingOfPain - November 4th, 2007, 06:10 - Forum: Hellgate: London - Replies (43)

Guild invites are character base, I even have to send out invites to my own toons. Apparently some of you are not using character names in the hookup thread anymore, and some of you have new characters. Please leave the toon names here (and as you create more) you want to be invited to the guild.

I can be on anytime tomorrow for the whole day. Lets make a party or 2 with new toons. Any class will do.

List the time you can be on tomorrow and PARTY smile

I am going to have to delete a semi new toons but that's ok.

Here's the continuing story of my first test slacker: a female Engineer named
GearSlack1. (Original name, I know. Sue me.) [Image: tongue.gif]

  Initial Impressions

So far, so good. Got my pre-ordered box a day early thanks to Play, so was able to snag the two names I was bothered about. Apart from a glitch which left me walking half in the floor of Covent Garden until I reconnected and a bit of lag (noticeable with Ravagers jumping at me, but dying where they set off), I'm enjoying it. Slightly annoying getting asked to go back and explore somewhere I've been through twice for a quest, and for items which I have a pile of but which have to come from a specific locale (wuh?). Haven't tried melee yet, looks like it might get annoying smile Advertising's very unobtrusive, at least at this stage - I've seen worse (and would definitely resent it if I end up paying a subscription were it more noticeable). Oh, and some of the accents are a bit dicky :P

I wasn't exactly sure where to post this but since I didn't spot an "off topic" section, I thought I would put this in the next best thing..."general" thumbsup
Stumbled across this on Guild Cafe, then found the rest of them on YouTube, then finally went to the actual SITE....there they are all neatly put together from newest to oldest lol
DISCLAIMER - there *is* adult content and language so if you are sensitive to that, then please don't watch....otherwise.....laugh away!! wink

Just thought you guys would appreciate this humor...share this with allies if you want as well - I think we can all find these personalities in all our guilds! nod tongue

  What do you all do?
Posted by: Muaziz - October 31st, 2007, 20:17 - Forum: Civilization General Discussion - Replies (12)

I'm curious as to what you all do in between Epics and Adventures. I am sure many of you have Real Lives with real responsibilities, but I imagine that there has to be a fair share of Civ junkies out there, just like there are for every other game.

Personally, I came from a hardcore WoW raiding guild so I am very used to a fast pace. Now that Epic 14 and Adv 24 are long behind me, I am suffering through withdrawal. It used to be that I could just kick off a random Civ game and enjoy it for a couple of days. But now that I have played a couple "more competitive" games, it's really hard to go back to mundane games. I think it is my competitive nature getting the better of me.

So I was wondering what the rest of you all did to bide the time between games.

  X-fire, Guilds and RBD
Posted by: ShadowHM - October 31st, 2007, 17:35 - Forum: Hellgate: London - Replies (17)

Hi

Hellgate: London seems to have the intention of having X-fire chat enabled in it.

The AB has already set up a guild on X-fire, and it already looks (after a very small amount of poking around in the software) like a very convenient way of keeping track of who is online and what game they are playing.

The link is here:

http://www.xfire.com/clans/

Should we have a Realms Beyond guild/clan?

Edit: I am shadowofhm there; apparently there already is a shadowhm there. rolleye
