  Mod Approval Process: Ruff_Hi's Mod
Posted by: Ruff_Hi - March 30th, 2007, 05:54 - Forum: Civilization General Discussion - Replies (6)

This thread is seeking an understanding of the RB community's desire to see my mod approved. If there is enough interest, I will (sigh) slog my way thru another long PDF file (eventually).

I wasn't planning on doing this until ...

fbelintani Wrote:I opened the game last night and saw that the Ruff_hi's interface changes were enabled. I'd really like to leave it on for the autologging feature. No, I won't post an autolog for the whole game, but it's easier to remember what happened later. Is it ok to leave it on or should I take it off?
However, keep in mind that ...

Sullla Wrote:Interface mods are a lot less likely to be approved, however. wink

If you are interested about the make up of the mod ... here is the link to its CFC thread. Keep in mind that the HOF mod has just been updated and I like to keep my mod similar to theirs (we use the same advisor screens, etc). Hence, I will be updating both vanilla and warlords versions with the expectations of releasing them in 4-6 weeks. I will NOT be starting the mod approval process until I have released the updated versions even if there are huge demand here (yeah right!).

How do you enter flying camera mode?

I've seen a lot of screenshots that use it, but I haven't found anything that tells you how to engage it.

  I can't play d1! What am I to do?
Posted by: Hureg - March 28th, 2007, 11:03 - Forum: Off Topic - Replies (9)

Hello everyone!

I'm having some issues with connecting to b.net that don't seem to want to let me play online. So diablo is out for at least a month or two it seems...

I've just reinstalled Guild Wars and can get online but if you guys remember, i only had factions, so starting that up again would involve buying nightfall and or prophecies, which i don't think i'll end up doing.

Is there any other online rpg/mmo's that people are playing at the moment, that fit the RB ideas of challenging and fun, with room for experimentation?

  Start-up questions (noob on deck!)
Posted by: cynyck - March 27th, 2007, 19:01 - Forum: Guild Wars - Replies (7)

This is a carry-over from the general forum.

I asked a simple question about WoW, and it was suggested I try Guild Wars. So, I have a copy of the original game on its way. I have a couple of questions, but I'll start with one for now.

I understand there are at least six different "professions" to select from. Since that is something that cannot be changed, any suggestions? From my experience with other games, there are certain classes that are more popular and then its hard to find the less popular to round out a group.

I will say that I'm not a great one for those classes that are solely casting characters as I enjoy being in the thick of the action, but I know next to nothing about this game. I just want to avoid investing time into a profession I will later find is not desirable from a group perspective because everyone uses it, since my understanding is this is a game that is next to impossible to solo in.

Thanks in advance!

  HA double fame weekend
Posted by: Lurker Wyrm - March 27th, 2007, 17:38 - Forum: PvP - Replies (9)

This weekend HA is going to be going back to 8v8. As a bonus, you can get double fame the whole weekend.

As much as it pains me to say this, should we forego GvG this weekend in order to take advantage of this? Granted, we'll need to borrow a build from another guild, but I would think the build we've been running with HRK the past few days with an added water ele and dom mes could sorta work.

Next expansion: Eye of the North
Posted by: Havral - March 27th, 2007, 14:17 - Forum: Guild Wars - Replies (28)

Press release

The Nitty-Gritty

Quote:Set largely in the dungeons and caverns of the lands of Tyria that players first explored in Guild Wars Prophecies, Guild Wars: Eye of the North will have 18 large, multi-level dungeons, 150 new skills across all 10 Guild Wars professions, 10 new Heroes, 40 new armor sets, and even more items, weapons and titles.

And for those looking even further down the road at Guild Wars 2, Guild Wars: Eye of the North will provide a Hall of Monuments where players’ accomplishments are memorialized and eventually inherited by their Guild Wars 2 characters, unlocking exclusive items and bonuses in Guild Wars 2.

So, there you have it. Next GW expansion plus hints of GW2.

  Sealed Deck
Posted by: FoxBat - March 25th, 2007, 14:56 - Forum: PvP - Replies (21)

Edit: Allies on sealed teams please turn back now, we are discussing our build. Thanks wink

Looks like the Basin is starting up a Sealed Deck tourney next saturday. For the newbs among you, in sealed deck a team of 4 gets 80 randomly chosen skills and make their builds just from those skills. You then fight it out team-arena style against other similar teams. It sounds like a lot of fun and I'd love to try it.

If we can get 4 (count me in) from our guild for the given time, we might be able to sneak into their goings-on.

I also made a post suggesting the alliance try to host one but who knows when that will happen. tongue
