Beam me up, Scotty! So, you want to make a Recall Stone
system, do you? Thanks to Warlocke for this nice tutorial
completed with working scripts. You can find this gem in our
Library's Tomes section
:)
Also added How To and Game Play to the Tomes section.
New version of Aribeth.zip portraits is up as of 5pm Aug 1st
Griselda's
note- I peeked, and used KoP's portrait guide and template
to make a "Diablo" portrait, which is available
on the portraits page.
Creating a portrait turned out to be a lot simpler, and a
lot more fun, than I thought it would be.
July/28-29/2002

minor update - Links is replaced with Portal. Added new Library
section for all things NwN. It will eventually have many sub-sections
dealing with stuff not covered in the other sections. Yup,
if you peeked, I am going to make a Custom Portrait Guide
that I might even include some useful files and macros to
make things easier all :)
July
29th - Just uploaded the latest version of Diablo from Roland,
and added links to some recommended mods in Modules. Thanks
to Warlocke and Charis for the list.
Added
"Portrait Collection" section in the Library, and
uploaded my first custom portrait for public use :)

In case you have been hiding in the woods, NwN was officially
released on June/19/2002. Before you RUN to the store for
your own copy of this much anticipated game, I'd like to advise
you to check out BioWare's Trouble Shooting FAQ -
Know Issues, and preferably scan its Tech
Support Forum to see if you meet the system requirements,
first... For example, If you use a 3DFX video card, your are
screwed. You have been warned, know the price of admission
before you plunge. With that said, NwN is getting a warm reception
by the RBers :)
Read and participate in NwN discussions at the General
Forum or the RBN forum. For starters, check out Charis'
NWN
Newbie Guide at the RBN forum. Enjoy :)
May/24/2002
- BioWare has launched its Neverwinter Nights Community Site
- A full featured site for NwN.
Download the BETA version of the Neverwinter Aurora Toolset.
The Toolset provides most of the functionality of the final
toolset that will be included in the retail version of Neverwinter
Nights. Don't bother to download it from their FilePlanet
link unless you like signing up new accounts all over the
internet and wait anywhere from 30 minutes to hours in line
for download. There's no wait at 3DGamers.com,
and no sign up. The connection is fast too at a 65KB/sec :)
The file is 241 MB so you might want to start the download
before you head to bed.
Introduction for the Toolset can be found here.
Apr/22/2002
- The Neverwinter Nights open limited beta test is now accepting
applications! So head over to betatests.net
to sign up, or read more detail here
first :)

Nights FAQ for more game info.
Release
Date -
"BioWare's new publishing partner, Infogrames, has just
announced in their press release that Neverwinter Nights will
be launched worldwide in Summer, 2002. We apologize for the
delay in getting back to you during the day today - we want
to try to clarify this date announcement since so many people
have been posting about it on the message boards.
Please
understand that we are committed to releasing games when they
are finished, polished and ready for the world. For a game
as complex, epic and multifaceted as Neverwinter Nights, this
is especially the case. The massive scope and flexibility
intrinsic in the Toolset, the DM Client and the Official Campaign
will be unprecedented in the gaming world and, as a result,
we must carefully test every aspect of Neverwinter Nights.
With a new publisher, there is a new plan for marketing, QA,
localization and distribution...
To
that end, BioWare and Infogrames now feel that Summer 2002
(which could mean as early as May or June) is a good conservative
estimate of the distribution date - guaranteeing a game worthy
of the quality inherent under the titles of Dungeons and Dragons,
Infogrames and BioWare. We are still aiming for the same development
completion targets that we were aiming for in the past, but
Infogrames and BioWare both want to provide a safe target
window for the game to be ready in terms of the things that
are covered by the publisher working in conjunction with the
development team - distribution, localization, marketing and
testing."
