Adding BUG and BULL to RtR |

Some of you remembered that I asked about this topic a while ago and I decided to take matters into my own hands. I checked back with Krill and he's ok with me doing that as long as I supply him with anything he needs to be changed in the DLL. Of course adding BUG to RtR is no small feat so I worked out the following plan:
- Discuss with the community which features should be added.
- Try to add every feature that the community deems worthy in the mod. Please understand that it may not be possible to add a feature due to changes in the DLL in the past.
- Release new features piece by piece with upcoming releases.
This thread is meant to address point 1. Of course there are a lot of features in the BUG mod. Not every feature is useful for us, either because it gives to much advantages, is single player only, reveals hidden information or otherwise unnecessary. I would like to handle the discussion similar to Krill's discussion about changes to the civs. For this I have a short list of features that I think are worthy to add and would like to discuss first. Every feature that is not in the list and you would like to add/discuss, just throw it to me and we will talk about it after the initial list is considered confirmed by the community. It's best if you download the BUG mod yourself and have a look at the features, so we don't have to describe every single feature here.
So let this thing start here is my initial List:
Tab General- Misc: Min/Max Commerce Buttons: It always annoys me that I have to hit those buttons 10 times to go from 0% to 100% and vice versa. This feature eliminates that and is basically a quality of life feature.
- Misc Build/Action Icon Size: This shrinks or grows the action buttons. I see no problem with this feature as it's just cosmetic.
- Misc City Cycle Arrows: Similar to the Min/Max Buttons this is just a quality of life feature.
Tab Map- Misc: Field of View: Players can already use camera flying feature, so there should be no harm in adding this.
Tab City Screen:- Great Person Bar Turns until Birth
- Great Person Bar types and percentage
- Misc Culture Turns: I grouped these three features together, because every single one just displays information directly on the city screen, which is usually only presented in a hover effect.
- Misc City Specialist: A Cosmetic change for the visualization of multiple specialist.
Tab Advisor:- Domestic Space Above
- Domestic Space to Side: Both are mainly cosmetic changes to the Domestic Advisor
- Foreign Deals Turn Left: Normally this information is presented in a hover if I'm not mistaken, so this is once again a quality of life feature
- Technology Wide Screen: Cosmetic
- Graphs Tabs: Quality of Life
- Graphs Wonders Tab: Cleans up the wonder tab and makes a better overview
Tab Clock:- Everything except for the golden age stuff: I think most stuff here is mainly cosmetic and/or quality of life
Tab Plot List- Promotion Icon Offset: Cosmetic
- Unit Name: Cosmetic (Text color)
- Upgrade cost: Quality of life feature. It's not like it's hidden information if you can't pay for something.
Tab Unity Naming- Everything: As this only helps in naming units, which can be tedious, it's mostly a quality of life feature.
Tab Logging, Tab System, Tab Credits:- These are no real features and will be mandatory to add for debugging reasons or just common sense.
Current version:

Welcome to my spoiler thread for the Pitboss game! This is my first Pitboss game in over a decade! I've played two before, back in the day. However, I played them like I would in a single-player game, getting conquered very fast by my more aggressive neighbors. I'm hoping to do a little better this time around! I was very active at CFC when Civ III and Civ IV were the current entries, but have fallen off of the Civ bandwagon with the introduction of One Unit per Tile. I haven't participated at RB at all (minus one Civ III epic that I bombed), but I really enjoy reading the threads of users here, namely Sullla's website. Here's to me at least not being the first one eliminated!
We're doing a points-based snake pick for leaders and civs, and I drew last pick! While that means seven leaders/civs will be gone when it's my turn, I get to essentially double-pick my leader and civ, since the pick order reverses once it gets to the end. Here is the points list for reference:
5 Points to Spend
4: FIN
3: EXP, CRE, India, Inca
2: SPI, IND, ORG, IMP, China.
1: PHI, Agriculture Civs
0: CHM, AGG, All other civs
-1: PRO
I personally am looking for a leader with FIN, EXP, CRE, or PHI. Obviously I can't have a combo of the first three, so it'll boil down to what is left after seven people go ahead of me. Here are the leaders I am looking at:
Elizabeth (FIN/PHI) - 5 points, must pick a non-Agriculture civ.
Peter (EXP/PHI) - 4 points, can pick any civ.
Pericles (CRE/PHI) - 4 points, can pick any civ.
What civ should I go for? Heads up: I'm not anticipating executing an early rush or ancient war, so I won't be considering a civ that can do those well. Since I anticipate the seven choices ahead of me being leaders, I should be able to pick the civ that I want. I know India and Inca are top-tier due to the Fast Worker and the Terrace, respectively, but with my trait preferences, I will pass on those two. These civs seem to be popular:
The Ottomans (Agriculture)
The Byzantines
The Mayans
The Holy Roman Empire
France (Agriculture)
Babylon (Agriculture)
Greece
I'm debating mainly between the Ottomans and the Byzantines. Both have great unique buildings and units. The Ottomans are my personal preference, but I might want to snag Byzantium just to deny cataphracts to the others. Conversely, the others might see me as a threat as Byzantium, so maybe I will just stick with the Ottomans. I'll have to see what's left when my time comes!
Almost time to game! I hope to offer some enjoyment (and laughing at the noob!) to you all. I'm mainly in here to help refine my Civ IV skill. So long as I'm not the first eliminated, I'll consider that a personal victory.
